Innovative ways to raise funds online — TechChi: "In just 26 hours, Jesse Desjardins raised $2,275 to finance his trip to South by Southwest Interactive, the annual technology, music and film conference in Austin.
How did he do it?
He posted a presentation to Slideshare.net titled “The World’s Greatest Opportunity.” He promised to give all his donors credit on five Slideshare presentations that he plans to create during the five days of the show.
That’s a pretty enterprising approach to get conference expenses paid. And he gave his donors something of a value in return."
